Stone Surface Solutions (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to stonesurfacesolutions.co.nz and of customers who engage our stone repair and restoration services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

  • Contact details you provide when requesting a quote or enquiring — name, phone, email, property address.
  • Details of the stone surface and damage you describe, and any photographs you send us.
  • Correspondence between you and our team, including quotes, scopes of work and completion reports.
  • Basic technical data logged by our hosting platform when you visit the site (IP address, browser, referrer). We do not run advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and carry out the work you request.
  • To provide before-and-after documentation and reports for insurance claims when relevant.
  • To meet our tax, legal and record-keeping obligations.
  • To follow up after a job for warranty, maintenance reminders or referrals — only if you have not opted out.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with parties directly involved in your job — for example, your insurer or building manager where you have asked us to communicate on your behalf — and with service providers who help us operate our business (email, accounting, hosting) under confidentiality obligations.

Retention

We retain job records for the period required by New Zealand law (typically seven years for tax purposes), and enquiry correspondence for as long as is reasonable to answer follow-up questions or warranty claims.

Your rights
